White ribbon and value chartIn this assignment, we took a paper strip and put it in loops, and had to draw it. We had to include value, using the black paper as the darkest value and using our white colored pencil as the lightest. I think it was hard for me trying to blend the white with the black paper. Shaded sphereWe had to draw a sphere using a full range of value, white colored pencil on black paper. Like I said before it was very hard trying to shade the black with the white, especially in the darkest areas. I also had trouble with the shadow.

Value chartFor this assignment, we have to make a value chart only using the 2B pencil. For me it was really hard to get really light shades ShapesWe had to draw shapes that were sitting in front of us and shade with value. Unfortunately I was unable to finish the 2nd shape, the sphere but it got the rectangular prism.
Paper BagFor this assignment, we had to draw a paper bag that was sitting in front of us and get a lot of value in there. For It was very hard to get all the lighter value to be just right in in the drawin and it was very hard to make the shadow. Fabric drawing (unfinished)1. I think I could have used a way wider range of values in the fabric, but it was really rushed
2. Practice helped me see where values in the fabric were and to exaggerate them 3. My blending transitions could be way better, especially in the really dark areas 4. We didn’t really try to capture texture in this image, we were just trying to get the values in 5. If I recreated this, I would definitely make the value transitions way smoother than they are and get better shapes for the fabric Contour room drawingDid you use a fluid line? Explain how this is evident. For the most part, I didn’t really use a fluid line. I did this because it was hard when you had to go back over your line to get to another place to draw, so it looks sketchy. Explain how your knowledge and creating practice studies with contour lines contributed to the success of the piece. The practice we did before I think really helped. I learned that when making contour drawings, you should get all the details down in one area, instead of drawing the outline and going back to put the little details in, which would be harder since you would have to go back over your lines, making it less fluid. Describe the difference in your contour line drawing to an outline drawingThe differences from the contour line drawing to an outline, in the contour line drawing you are trying to get all the details you can while in the outline you’re just trying to get the shape. I’m a contour line drawing you aren’t allowed to pick up your pen either. Explain how your interpretation of the line is essential in capturing the look of the roomYour interpretation of the line is essential because you are supposed to draw as you see. The lines should be fluid just how things are in the room. What did you learn from completing this drawing? What would you do differently if you could recreate this piece? From completing this drawing I learned that contour line drawings should take time for you to get all the details of what your drawing in and how they should be fluid. If I could recreate this piece I would definitely try to make my lines more fluid and clean than sketchy.
Modified shoeFor the modified shoe drawing, we had to put someones shoe on the table and contour draw it without picking up our pen. I think that trying to get the shape of the shoe right was hardest for me. We weren't allowed to erase so I had to wing it, pretty much Modified backpackIn this assignment, we had to take someones backpack and put it on the table. Then we had to contour draw it like we did before with the shoe. The first image was my first attempt. I think I did better one the details of this one then my second one. The second image was my second attempt and I like how I did the shape of it better than my first attempt, but it has less details because i had less time.
Contour drawings:(I'm not sure how to resize images) For this assignment we had to turn away from our art book and pick a hand position. Then without looking at our paper or picking up the pen we were supposed to draw what we see as we see it. I think I did okay on the first one but I progressively got worse. Modified hand drawingsFor this assignment we had to pick a hand position but this time we were allowed to look at our paper as we drew it, we just couldn't pick up the pen. I think these turned out okay, they're not perfect. It was hard not to draw sketchy.
